Le Matin publishes Nish messages accrediting Servian successes to the presence of’ the aged King, who arrived on the battle front at the supreme moment, and addressed the soldiers in the following terms: “Heroes, your old King has come to die with you for the Fatherland and for Servia. Let us drive out the enemy.” The message adds that the words lighted a train of powder, and the unforgettable battle was begun before Tapolo, the cradle of the dynasty, where rest the ashes of the Royal Family. AUSTRIANS DRIVEN BACK, Nish, December 14. The Servians’ extreme left forced the enemy across the Drina, and continues driving the Austrians back in a northerly and north-easterly direction.
