AUCKLAND ENTHUSIASM. Per Press Association. Auckland, December 10. The publication of the news of the British naval victory caused unbounded enthusiasm, crowds round the newspaper offices cheering lustily again and again. On the Stock Exchange the news was received with rousing cheers, and the brokers sang “Rule Britannia.” New Zealand insurance shares advanced four shillings.

THE BELGIAN FUND.

Wanganui, December 10. The Town Clerk to-day remitted to Wellington to be forwarded to the High Commissioner £SOO for the British Food Fund and £231 to the Belgian Consul, making a total of over £IOSB sent to the latter fund.
