At the wool sales the market had a more cheery tone as a result of Japanese and Americans competing freely. There were good clearances for all the better classes in sellers’ favour. Inferiors dragged. Melbourne, December 8. At the wool sales fine crossbreds were five to seven and a-half per cent above last sales. Otherwise the market was unchanged. BRAN AND POLLARD. (Received 10.10 a.m.) Melbourne, December 8. Rran advanced to £9 5s and pollard to £9 10s.
BRITISH TRADE RETURN. (Received 9.25 a.m) London, December 7. The imports decreased £12,480.017, the exports £20,154,569, and the reexports £2,357,642.
