TARANAKI WOOL, SKIN, HIDE AND TALLOW SALES. MR NEWTON KING’S REPORT. At my monthly sale on Tuesday, November 24th, I submitted an extra large amount to a full attendance of buyers. The catalogue comprised : —125 bales and 254 sacks wool, 2980 ,21 casks and 76 tins of tallow, 1015 hides, 3771 calfskins, and the usual sundries. Competition was very keen, and I have to report a very successful sale. Fleece wool advanced l|d to 2d per lb on last November rates, and clean lengthy wool was eagerly sought after. Grutchings advanced id to id per lb. Sheepskins: Finn to id per lb higher. Tallow.—Advanced 6d to Is per cwt-j Hides: Firm at late rates. Calfskins.—Declined id to id per lb,

I quote:— Wool: In bales, scoured 10Jd, medium crossbred 9fd to lOd, coarse 9d to 9id, logstained and inferior Bid to 9d, iu sacks BJd to 9|d, crutchings in bales 7d to 7-Jd, in sacks 6fd to 7}d, dead 7d to BJd, locks and pieces 4,-5 d to 6Ad.

Sheepskins.—Medium Bid, coarse 8d to Bid, hoggets 8d to 83d, lambs 7d to ,B£d, dead 6id, damaged to ojcl, skin pieces 4Jd, pelts 3d to 4fd, damaged pelts lid to 2Jd, spring lambs 7d.
