HOME DEFENCE CORPS.
DRILL LAST NIGHT. The usual weekly drill of the Stratford Defence Rifle Club was held last night. The muster was on the small side, hut there was no lack of enthusiasm, and the bayonet exercises were gone through very creditably. The drill generally begins to show a decided improvement, seeming to indi. cate that patient application is the chief essential in acquiring proficiency and smartness in drill.
Tt was announced that the Egmont Club had invited Rifle Club members to a social evening at an early date.
NEXT MONDAY’S CONCERT. After parade a vote was taken, and it was decided that admission to next Monday’s concert at the Town Hall should be free, but that no children be admitted unless in charge of an adult.
