The death sentence passed on Goro, for the murder of his landlady’s little daughter, has been commuted to imprisonment for life. SAFETY AT SEA. Atlantic States, extending to Florida, the lowest temperature for forty years being experienced. There were, heavy gales along the New England coast, with snow. Four fishing .schooners were driven ashore. It is believed no loss of life resulted.CNARCES OF CRAFT. Ottawa., November 19. A Royal Commission investigating graft charges agisinst Mr Fleming, Premier of New Brunswick, reported that it was undoubtedly that Mr Fleming had wrongly received large sums, in coujmiction with certain Government officials,. from the holders of a Government timber license. Mr Fleming declared that the Commission’s findings were cruel ai\d unjust, and refused to resign the premiership.
