THE AUSTRIANS AT VALJEVO. (Jnited Pbess Association. Vienna, "November 17. ■-"' Official: The Austrians, on entering Valjevo, were welcomed with a shower of flowers, for the purpose of deceiving them as to the temper of the city. Subsequently the inhabitants dropped bombs and opened rifle-fire from the houses. This reception is described as characteristic of the Servians. Rome, November 18. An official statement from Vienna states that the Austrians have occupied Valjevo. The Servians retired for six miles in the direction of Kragujevaks, Fighting contiflues aloug the new posii fcions.
