SAN TOY.

The New Plymouth Operatic Society have now readied the final stage of their rehearsals of Sail Toy. To-night iihey are having a full dress rehearsal in New Plymouth. It is needless to say that their performance here next week will be well worth seeing. The Society have now been rehearsing for some time and were to produce the opera in Xew Plymouth this Aveek, but owing to alterations of the Theatre, they were un'able to do so, and in consequence Stratford is to have the first opportunity of witnessing this initial production, which the management •ire quite confident will be quite equal to, if not better than all previous efforts. Among the principals are such old favorites as Mrs Birch-Johnston, Mrs Doll, Miss Kathie Bennett, Mr Alf. Gray, Mr W. McEwan, and many others too numerous to mention just now.
