HOMES OF GERMAN PROFESSORS RAIDED. (Reserved 11 a.m.) Sydney, November 16. The military authorities raided the homes of two University professors who are Germans and impounded correspondence. GERMAN CHUELTY TO NATIVES AT RABAUL. (Received 9.45 a.m.) Sydney, November 16. The Herald's Rabaul correspondent writes that tbr> Germans used too much cruelty in keeping the niggers in subjection. Their toes were cut off for trivial offences, and other acts were committed abhorrent to the English mind. Some of the Germans were haled before a naval officer for illtreating the natives.
