Afterwards there came a south, west wind and rain. The attendance was hardly up to the standard of the two previous days. The totalisatoi handled £32,880, as against £35,570 on the third day of last year. Additional results: — Canterbury Cup, 1000 sovs, weigh for age; two miles and a quarter. 1 W. E. Six furlongs from home the favorite and Balboa moved up, and, putting in great work, got to withni a couple of lengths of Warstep at the entrance to the straight. Reputation continued his run and headed Warstep at the distance, and, going on, won easily by two lengths. Balboa was another throe lengths away, with Merry Roe beaten off. No time was taken.
