The Times, in a leader, says: Turkey’s sudden entrance into the fray was fully, expected. The* Allies are quite ready, and have been ready for a long time. All preparations have been made in Egypt along the banks of the Suez Canal and the Sinai Peninsula for possible developments. Greece is also ready, as Turkey will soon be destined to disover by her foolish yielding to the instigation-of Germany. Turkey has pronounced her own doom, and the Ottoman Empire in Europe will soon be merely a memory. Since the Turks resolved on their own destruction, we don’t regret their appearance in the ranks of the combatants It means when the mighty struggle is over that Europe will be rid of two factors which for over fifty years have been the chief menaces to the peace of the Old World,
