P, O’Connor Presiding,, passed a resolution of cohesion with Mr Redmond’s policy, and calling on the Irish people to co-oporate With the Allies in their efforts for the defence of the liberties of Europe against Prussian militarism.

The police are interning Austrians and Germans of military age, at the rate of a hundred per day. Additional hotels are announcing that no Germans or Austrians will be employed.

The authorities are satisfied with the bona fides of the occupants of the 'Edinburgh factory. Monday’s cables stated: The* Observer says the military raided a large German factory in Edinburgh, which has been built for a decade. Thirty thousand pounds was spent on magnificent concrete foundations, the proprietor explaining that enormously heavy machinery was required. The factory was capable of accommodating five hundred men, but never more than six Germans were seen. The machinery never arrived, and the factory never started. The situation dominates Edinburgh, and big guns could hit the Rosyth forts and bridge.
RECRUITS FOR THE NEW ARMY TOTAL 780,000.

A sentry at tho Pembroke Dock challenged a man who was creeping towards the guns. The man escaped, lint the sentry fired and killed a 1dier sleeping in a tent, besides wounding another. The sight of a. gun was missing, but it was discovered on the track of the stranger’s flight. THE HINDU QUESTION.
