Official.—The enemy’s heavy artillery bombarded the front at Nieuport without result. The Allies, and particularly the Belgians, repulsed 1 the Germans, and renewed their attacks, advancing to Roulers. The Allies were fighting for ten days strenuously in the north and solith of Arras, holding firmly. Advances* are recorded on the La Basse, Ablair, and St. Nazaire fronts. Further progress was made on the left wing between Lys and La Basse canal in the direction of Lille. The Allies, particularly the Belgians, repulsed attacks and advanced to Roulters.
