THE CANADIAN CONTINGENT. London, October 17. The Canadian disembarkation <ontinmSH on Friday in strict secrecy. The-Equipment is excellent. Eacn man has an ample supply of shirts, throe blankets, and a waterproof sheet. The private’s pay is a dollar and ten cents (about ss) a day, with the addl- - of separation allowances. They are also receiving full wages. The contingent are in camp at Bulfird, 12 miles from the town, and have no distractions from the business of preparing for war. At present they are in tents, but wooden huts are being prepared. The camp is strictly teetotal. The men are determined to be ready for the front within two months.
