ATTEMPTED MURDER.

BRITISHERS SHOT AND WOUNDED IN BUCHAREST. United Press Association. (Received 9 a.m.) Bucharest, October 16. A Turk named Pachilassam fired four shots at Mr Noel Buxton and his brother Charles while they were motoring in Bucharest with M. Gueschoff’s son on a journey to attend the king of Roumania’s funeral. Mr Noel Buxton was shot through the lung and his brother was slightly wounded. The assailant escaped. (M. Gueshoff is a leading Bulgarian politician. He played a leading part in organising the Balkan Alliance. He was Prime Minister of Bulgaria until his resignation in June, 1913, when he received the highest Order as a mark of distinction.)
