A PRISONER’S COMPLAINT.

YOUNG MAN IN TROUBLE. Wellington, October 16. When a young man named George Charles Beynon appeared before the Magistrate’s Court this afternoon, charged with being illegally on private premises at night, counsel for the defence made a statement suggesting that the sergeant who arrested Beynon had kicked him. This the geant denied, stating that Beynon had .attempted to resist arrest and objected to being searched. Counsel said the matter was serious,/ and might lead to a charge of assault being laid against the sergeat. a. Inspector Hendry: “We can answer anything you hring.” The information was dismissed, and Inspector Hendry said another chaige would he brought against Beynon.
