— THE LADIES’ CHAMPIONSHIP. [Pbb Pbfjw Association. 1 Dunedin, Oc-tober 12. At the ladies’ golf championship today, a team of nine South Island ladies defeated the North Island’- as follows, the North Island names being mentioned first;— Mrs Guy Williams squared with Miss Wright. Miss L. Brandon beat Miss Wood. Miss Bell lost to Miss Harris. Miss N. Brandon beat Miss Wilson. Mrs McLean lost to Miss Humphreys. Miss Cotter lost to Miss Cowlishaw. Miss R. (jorrie lost to Mrs McCarthy. Miss N. Gorrie lost to Mrs Murphy. Miss Turtou lost to Miss Theomin.
