LONDON MARKETS. (Received 8.35 a.m.) London, September 27. Wheat is very quiet. Australian arrived is held for 45s Gd. The wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdom is 160,000 quarters, for the Contiennt 1,730,000, Atlantic shipments 798.000, Pacific 45,000, total for Europe 1,045,000, United States anl Canada 990,000, India 45,000 sundries 10.000. The “Economist” estimates that the Irish wheat crop will be five per cent, above the average for the last ten years. Danish butter 132 s to 1365.
It is estimated that 260,000 bales of wool have been sold privately since the July sales by auction. Hemp is quiet but high, with gold prospects for October-Dccember, shipments.
