MONTHLY MEETING.

The.monthly meeting of the.Taranaki Land nßard. was held on Wednesday. Present: Messrs Bullard (chair), Ryan, Goxhead and Jones.

The application of HA. Waterson fo,- section 5, block 5, Pouatu S.D;, ■1125 acres, was approved. It was decided to certify that the following lessees were entitled to Crown grants in terms: of section 36 of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1912: —Andrew Neilson, section 12, block 5, Upper, Waitara S.D.; Thos. Biowne, sections 85 and 87, block 10, Pouatu- S.D. '-

The applications of Grace Ruth Bonnen' and Edmund A.'Bonner for the freehold of. section 30, block 16, Egmont S.D. was approved; also S. H. Jv Brown's- application, in regard to section 15, block 20, Ohura S.D. D. H. Profitt, jun., section 1, block 4 Mahoe S.D., and Albert Sowery, section 1; block -1, Upper Waitara S.D. —Approved. Ranger Meredith forwarded reports on sections 5 and 11, block 11, Mahoo SD., Crown land, and it was decided to recommend the opening of the section-, under part 3 of the Land Act, section 5 (717 acres) ata capital valueof 30s per acre, and section 11 (1014 acres), at a -capital value of 325-6 d per acre, and loaded with £25 valuation for bushfelling.

Rawlirison, Joseph M'Kenney, and Patrick O'Dea,; area 450 acres.—lt was resolved to refuse the application. Catherine M'Phee'and R. H. Phillips, juti., holders of O.R.P. section 8, block 15, Upper Waitara S.D., 1609 acres, applied to transfer to Robert Horace Phillips, join.—Resolved to approve.

IVfessrs C. E. Thurston and L. W. Carter, licensees of section 1, block 10, Mahoe S.D. r 529 acres, selected July 22, 1914, applied to surrender, as the land did not meet requirements after making an inspection.— It was resolved to forfeit, the licensees not to he debarred from competing in future ballots. It was resolved to recommend the withdrawal, in terms of section 137 of-, the Land Act, of the following lands opened on June 24, 1913 (sale plan 264), the same to be re-offered as third-class land under part 3, at the same capital value, with exemption from rent and rates" for four years as provided in section 127 of the Land Act:—Sections 1,2, 3,4, 5, and 8, block 3, Omar* S.D., and sections 1,2, and 4, block 8, Taurnknwn S.F).
