[Pbr Prebb Abbooiation.] Dunedin, September 21. John H. King, 69, a resident of Pembroke, left Matakanui last Monday to ride home. His horse was found with the saddle and bridle on, A search has been organised. Agues Catherine Landreth, aged 10 months, died at Owaka from scalds accidentally received. Auckland, September 21. Regarding the man H. Wallace, who was employed on foundations for a brick wall in Gundry Street and was buried beneath a fall of building material, it was stated at the inquest that the foundations had not properly set. The Coroner adjourned the inquiry to obtain further evidence. Invercargill, September 21.
Henry Newton, aged 40, was killed by a fall of earth near Nightcaps today. He was undermining a bank, when the face came away, breaking his back. He leaves a widow and eleven children.
