GERMAN MARAUDING BAND.

ATTACK FRONTIER POST OF NAKOB.

Capetown, September 19

Two hundred and fifty Gormans with three maxims attacked the frontier post of Nakob, defended by eight police, of whom one was killed, one wounded and three taken prisoners. Tlio main body of the Germans sub- v sequently returned to German territory, leaving patrols to occupy the post and neighbouring kopjes. They captured all cattle in the vicinity and made prisoners of the colored people. At a meeting of Pondo chiefs, baseline, the paramount chief was authorised to send a message to the King expressing sympathy in the struggle to protect smaller nations.
