Dunedin, September 16,
At the inquest into the death of Andrew Anderson, aged 17, who was found drowned in the municipal baths on Monday night, Dr. Gordon MacDonald said that there were three possible causes of death, namely, drowning, an epileptic seizure, or cardiac failure. In all surrounding circumstances it appeared probable that the lad died from some form of heart failure. Ho thought it would bo wise to hold a post mortem. The coroner said he did not wish to harrow the feelings of the relatives unless it was necessary, and on the brother intimating that the lad’s relations were opposed to a post mostera, ho returned a verdict of accidental drowning, no blame being attachable to anyone. Blenheim, September 16. An olderly man, William MacKevsey, a resident of Seddon, was killed near Pelorus bridge by being thrown from his trap, his neck being broken
