By the sale of violets in Hastings on Saturday, £67 was added to the Belgian fund, and another £37 was collected in shilling guesses of the weight of the champion collie dog" Mosgiel Wonder, Mr Jack Parker giving the dog to the competitor guessing the correct weight. This fund in Hastings is now £1935, and substantial cheques are still coming, in. Gisborne has collected over £ISOO for the Belgians, and Napier another £350.
