In the House of Commons, Mr Asquith said he hoped Parliament would be prorogued this week. He would introduce a Bill to-morrow whereby no steps will be taken with the Home Rule and-Welsh Disestablishment Bills for a year in any event, and, if the war is not terminated then, extending the time until a further date to be fixed by Order-in-Council, but not later than the end of the war.
