The Ifrench steamer Pacitique, from Noumea, brought crows, numbering forty-two, of the British barquontino Titauia, and the Russian barque Aland, wrecked on the coast of New Caledonia last month. The disasters wero the result of the authorities extinguishing the lighthou;■_ ■; on the coa it owing to the war. The Titauia, while at Surprise Island, lost v. topmast yard, and was running for Noumea to repair it when she stranded on a coral reel in thedarkness. The Aland struck the Zeol:u::ibi reef, in trying to make harbor at Tohio in the early morning. Both vessels became total wrecks, but all aboard escaped.
