Wellington recognise the magnitude of the task set them, and are sending for reinforcements. Taranaki players will not forget their victory at Hawora earlier in the season, and can be relied upon to present the visitors from avenging their defeat In all probability Dewar will come np from the military camp to play for Taranaki, and will bo sure of a warm welcome.

If the weather remains line a large crowd may bo expected to gathe- on idie Showgrounds on Thursday. Already a large number of Wanganui people have signified their intention of being present.

Football teams representing the Senior Cadets and the school will meet at the showgrounds on Thursday, the match being a curtain-raiser to the Ilanfurly Shield match. The Cadets will bo represented by ’ha foloiwing team:—A. Cameron, B. Coll.us X. f lor kill, G. gangster, F. Fryday, J. Campbell, C. Till,Vickers (2). B. Shottor. E. Black, Crossan (2), W. Syine, K. Healy.
