A serious accident befell a young man named John Phillips yesterday afternoon. He was employed delivering meat from "Tr H. L. Bryeuton, off lliddiford street, and was remounting his cart after serving a customer in Daniel street, when he slipped to the ground. Before he could obtain control of Iris horse the wheel of the cart passed over his head, breaking both jaws, and inflicting other injuries. Phillips, who is a single man, was removed to the hospital, and i* reported to-day to be in a very lowcondition.
