BRITISH CAVALRY FEAT.

HUSSARS EXCEL THEMSELVES. (Received 11.15 a.m.) f, London, August 28. Soldiers who returned to. Amiens relate that the British Hussars galloped through the German lines and when they pulled up found.themselves in the enemy’s rear. The regiment re-formed and cut its wav back to its own linos.

GERMAN CAVALRY BREAK THE FRENCH LINES.

It is asserted that German cavalry broke the French line at Arras. The French moved rapidly and hara the situation well in hand.

Mr Asquith informed the House of Commons that General French reported that in Wednesday’s fighting the British were exposed to attack by five j German corps, two cavalry divisions, ■ and a reserve corps. Our Second Corps bore the brunt of the cavalry attack. Onr First Corps inflicted very heavy loss en the enemy.
