THE SCIENCE CONGRESS.

[By Electric Telegraph—Cofybight] XUnitbd Pbesb Abbouiation.] (Received 10.35 a.m.)

Sydney, August 27

The Telegraph, commenting on the Science Congress, states that there is not much doubt about the stir Professor Bateson's heredity lecture is going to make. Even if further investigation throws another light on the theories of inheritance the lecture will remain as a clear-cut, vigorous exposition upon a subject still tangled with mystery. The Congress had enormously stimulated scientific investigation here, and everyone attending the meetings was vitalised and reinforced in the conviction of the actuality of the importance of scientific researches.
