GOVERNMENT WAR TELEGRAMS.
[To The Editor Stratford Post.] Sir.—The Government in view of the deep interest felt by the people of the Dominion in progress of war, their desire- to obtain reliable information has made special arrangements in ' this regard. I would suggest therefore that the Postal Authosities should so arrange the exhibition of the Government telegrams that the public should be able to read them with the maximum of readiness and the minimum of uncertainty as to their effect, and I would suggest the following arrangements :
(1) —All telegrams to be clearly written in ink.
(2)—Electric light with reflector throwing light on the telegrams
posted. (3)— That at the head, of each telegram there be put the words "despatched from London" with tim« and date. With regard to (3), I propose this. As two days ago two telegrams were posted, one saying Namur was taken and the other saying that Namur's first line of defence had been taken, and it was difficult to decide which was the later and correct statement. 1 am, etc., >
CECIL WRIGHT.
