GERMANS RAID UNION TERRITORY.
CONFLICT WITH BOER FARMERS (Received 10.35 a.m.) London, August 24 (evening). Reuter has confirmed the report that Germans in South West Africa raided Union territory. They had been making preparations for some time. A force from "Windhoek, of strength unknown, crossed the Orange River and entered Namaqualand.; Qn the way, the Germans; had a Conflict'with Boer farmers who are settled on German territory and a few Germans were killed.
