RANFURLY SHIELD MATCH. Canterbury will to-morrow afternoon nt New Plymouth endeavor to wrest the Kanfurly Shield from Taranaki, and a good game is looked for, as the visitors are said to have a very solid vanguard and the whole team is recognised as being as good a one as ever left Canterbury. The Taranaki rep. team has linen depleted through four members volunteering for active sen ice, hut it is hoped to include in the team the three Taranaki men who toured Australia, who will he hurried to New Plymouth on their arrival from Sydney.
