NEWTON KING’S REPORT.
At the Haymarket on. Saturday last, pigs were penned in larger numbers than of late. There was a large attendance of farmers. The inquiry for all lines was not so keen and bidding accordingly was very slack. Slips 7s to 11s 6d, small stores 13s 6d to 17s, medium do. £1 2s to £1 7s, good do. up to £1 13s, pedigree boars £3 10s, sows and litter £5 15s, gigs £4, milk cart horse £34, calves Is 6d to 4s, geese 4s 3d to 4s 6d, liens Is 9d to 2s 9d, roosters 3s 6d.
