Tries for New Zealand were scored by Lynch, R. Roberts and Black. E. Roberts converted 11. Roberts’ try. At Hawera yesterday TanAiaki defeated Horowlienua, who had challenged for the Ranfurly Shield, by 14 to 3. For Taranaki tries were scored by Birchall converted by Stohr), Young and Patterson, and Stohr kicked a penalty goal.
