AMUSEMENTS.
BERNARD’S PICTURES. The programme presented at Bernard’s last night proved of a high order. “The 3rd Degree” met with great approval. It is a world’s dramagraph success and shows the plain unvarnished and striking exposure of this shameless practice. The film, which is 5000 feet in length, and lasts li hours, is chock full of interesting points. Special music is introduced, and includes the Madame Butterfly and Faust, which is played by Van Heck’s orches-' tra. To-morrow’s new series will include Edison’s drama, “The Tudor Princess,” which is a stirring drama relating the love affairs of Mary, the sister of Henry VTII. She loves the Duke of Suffolk, but Henry urges her to marry Charles of Austria, and then Louis of France. Her lover barely escapes at the hands of the two powerful monarchs, but finally wins Mary.
