The New Zealand Rugby Union team severely defeated New England at Armidale by thirty-five points to six. \ THE LEAGUE GAME. The New Zealand team to meet the English team at Auckland on August Ist has been chosen. Included therein are two Taranaki forwards, King and Parker, and one emergency back, Kyle. The team is as follows:—Fullback, T. Bradley (Wellington); threequarters, W. Wilson (Wellington), R. Siddells (Wanganui), Ifwersen (Auckland), and Barclay (Hawke’s Bay) ; halves, McClaymont (Auckland) and Bussell (Canterbury); forwards, King and Parker (Taranaki), Savory (Auckland), Walters (Auckland), Mitchell (Auckland), and Button (Canterbury). Emergeuices: Backs, Banks (Hawke’s Bay), and Kyle (Taranaki); forwards, Mitchell (Canterbury), and McCarthy (Hawke’s Bay).
