Mr Stevens, Federal member, announced at a public meeting that he possessed proof of attempts planned against the lives of the captain of the Komagata Maru, the immigration officials and others, but by whom he was unable to specify at that moment. Evidently the seditiouist movement was spreading.

Commander Hose conferred with the naval, military, and civil authorities, and a plan was arranged to turn a steam hose on the Hindus if they still refused to submit by 2 p.m. If the hose proves insufficient, the militia and bluejackets will open fire at close range and board the vessel from the warship in three parties.
