THE MANAGER'S NEGLECT.

Shaw, the manager of the Senghenydd mine, where a disaster recently occurred, was charged with neglect in connection with safety lamps and in other respects. He was fined £24 and 20 guineas costs for breaches of the mine regulations. The charges against the company were dismissed.
