FIRES.

|Pma Pasua Ajujooiahon,] AVellington, July 20. A fire at Ngahauranga early this morriing destroyed a building formerly known as the AVhite Horse Hotel, and latterly used as hoarding house since the district went “dry.” The outbreak caused anxiety owing to the proximity of the magazine of the Ngahauranga Fort. Members of tho Permanent Artillery kept vigilant watch. A woman who was known to be in tho building on Saturday night was not seen at the time of the fire. Wellington, July 20. A small outbreak of fire was discovered in the factory portion of the Times building this afternoon, and was suppressed before any serious damage was done.
