BRITISHERS v. TARANAKI.

IN THE LEAGUE CAME. All those who were fortunate enough to see the New South Wales-Tara-naki match will well remember wnac a brilliant game it was ?nd what a great fight the Taranaki team put up. The team chosen to play the Britishers is a far superior one that which played last season, and the players are sure to put up the game of their lives. The team includes such players as C. King, who is admitted by the Sydney press te he the finest forward in Australasia. He will be supported by five fine forwards in “Creamy’ r Osborne, Jim Parker (late Wellington rep.), J. Charters (well known to the Taranaki public), T. Irwin (late Wanganui rep., who played against Harding’s English team), and last, but not least, Ben Martig (late Wanganui rep.), a player with a heap of dash. These forwards will he supported by a good set of hacks, including Hooker (late Queensland rep.), and N. Kyla, a New Zealand rep. in 1912.

The match will commence at S p.m., and given a fine day a rare game of football is sure to be seen.

A train will leave Stratford at 2.80 p.m., returning at 5.25 p.m. after the close of the game. Look out for souvenir programme distributed gratis.
