POLITICAL.
At a meeting of the Hawera branch of the Liberal League, it was unanimously decided to support the nomination of Mr W. Morrison, of Maxwelltown, at the conference of delegates, to be held at Patea on Monday, for the purpose of selecting a candidate to oppose Mr Pearce at the coming election.
It is expected that the Licensing Bill will come up for second reading on Tuesday.
