Wilful Murder.
THE ROSE BAY MURDER. —, i REWARD OF £2OO OFFERED. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [United Press Association.] (Received 9.30 a.m.) Sydney. July 18. A verdict of "Wilful Murder" was recorded against David Rowlands at the inquest on Edward Dixon, whose death occurred in February last.
The two men were living together in a whare at Rose Bay, and Dixon, an elderly man, was found dead, Rowlands having disappeared. The murderer is still at large, and the Government, on the recommendation of the Inspector-General of Police, is offering a reward of £2OO to anyone who can supply information that will lead to his apprehension and conviction.
The young man, David Rowlands, who was in the company of Dixon prior to the tragedy, and whom the police ar,e anxious to find, has so far not been located. The amended police description of the man is: — "Eighteen years of age, sft. Gin. high, medium to wiry build, very fresh or florid complexion, fair to flaxen hair, long in front, and inclined to be curly and bushy; round face, blue eyes, large mouth. He walks with a swaggering or flash gait, and was dressed in shabby grey clothes, grey tweed cap, or soft felt hat, no collar or tie."
