“FAILURE OF INDUSTRIAL UNIONISM.“ [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [United Press Association.] (Received 9.45 a.m.) Sydney, July 17. The Labor Council’s half-yearly report criticises the two Labor federations recently formed, and refers to the failure of industrial unionism in the meat strike. Efforts to arrive at an agreement in the Maitland dispute have failed. The men are determined not to resume unless the afternoon shift is abolished. The proprietors are equally obstinate.
