At the slioep sales Mr Dowthwaite's 91 Border-Leicester rum lambs averaged £3 lis 2d. Mr John Nixon's 31 hoggets averaged £3 16s lOd. Mr Murdoch's 11 hoggets averaged £2 Ss Id. On Tuesday, 30th June, we held our monthly sale, of the a hove produce, our catalogue comprising a fair quantity of wool, hides, tallow and sheepskins. There was a good attendance of buyers, and competition was keen. Wo quote : Wool.—Fleece .BJd, lambs' BJd, crutchings in bags 6sd. Sheepskins.—Butchers' J-wool s damp 4s 2d each, -J-wools damp ss, salted ■J-Svools 5s 3d, settlers' full-wools 7Jd per lb, 1-wools 73d per lb, Hides.—Butchers' medium cow unwashed 7-jd per lb, heavy 7:{d per 11), stout B£d per lb, medium cow washed B|d per lb, settlers' cow 8d per lb. "Calfskins—lljd per lb. Tallow--In tins 21s 9d per ewt. Our next, sale will be held on Tuesday, 28th July, when wo expect to have an increased entry.
