AN “ENGLISH WEEK-END.”
CIVIL SERVICE UNREST IN FRANCE. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] Times and'Sydney Sun Services. Paris, July 5. There is continual unrest. Forty thousand members of the military, naval and postal administration threaten to strike unless they are granted an “English week-end.” The railway, tramway and omnibus employees are adopting similar tactics to induce the Senate to pass their pension scheme.
