Sydney, July 3.
After two disappointments owing to rain, the New Zealand bowlers played the Randwick Club, by whom they were cordially welcomed. Mr Bush, in responding to a toast, declared that Australia was right in respect to having* two feet u«j. Mr Whitehouse, a member of the Council, declared that the Maorilanders' contention that a toucher forced over the line was "dead," was correct. The visitors suffered defeat by 140 to 93. They were beaten on all rinks save one, where Thompson's team succeeded in making a draw at 21. New Zealand scores were:—Duncan, Reave, Rixon, Sutcliffe, 14; Potter, Coles, Nash, Tasker, 17; McCardle, Mason, Smith, Creagh, 18; Sharman," Parkinson, Columb, Bush, 13; Palliser, Gallie, Reid, Coltman, 10; Porritt, Lewis, Marker, Thompson, 21. The New, Zealanders leave for the Queensland tour on Wednesday.
