The total of beef exported was 136,663 quarters, an increase of 89,118, and of mutton 1,605,674 carcases, an increase of 516,127. The improvement was due to the increased demand in America and England, resulting in higher . prices. Generally speaking, the prospects are brighter than ever before. Xot only has the quality improved, but the two largeset markets of the world are open to producers. ’ Butter exports totalled 110.378 boxes, being an increase of 50,868.
