A WATERSIDE MYSTERY.
ENGINEER FELL DOWN HOLD.
[Pbb Press Association. J Auckland, July 1. Ernest Austin,, an engineer on the steamer Makarini, fell down the hatch, a distance of thirty feet. He is now in hospital unconscious, with a badlyfractured arm and injuries to his face, and it is feared with mortal internal injuries. Austin was found this morning at the bottom of the hold by a watersider unloading cargo. How the accident occurred is a mystery.
