NEW PLANT STIMULANT.
REMARKABLE RESULTS.
[By ,Eleotrio Telegraph— Timeb and Sydney Sun Services. London, June 30. Professor Bottomley produced at King's College a new stimulation for plant life called Bacterised. Tomatoes grown from seeds, planted in pure sand and watered with an extract of this product, an, eggcupful. of which was sprinkled on*- the surface of the soil, doubled their size. Arum lilies and plants of every kind when similarly treated grew more strongly and flowered more profuse}y,and the colors were intensified. Similar results were obtained for wheat, barley, and oats. Agricultural colleges are making extensive experiments, and the Irish Department of Agriculture is using two tons for tests with potatoes.
