Professor Douglas Lawrie, voologist, University of Liverpool, arrived by the Drama. He leaves for Norfolk Island shortly to ascertain the zoological and geographical position of the island. It is uncertain whether it is Australian, New Zealand, or Polynesian. It is generally imagined that ,Ncw Zealand joined Lord Howe and Norfolk Islands. If so, the animals on Norfolk Island should, show relationship to New Zealand rather than to Australia.
